Title: Buffalo Fork Vista
Title: Buffalo Fork Vista
Description: At the confluence of Buffalo Fork Creek and the Snake River in Moran, Wyoming, a recent blanket of snow still adorns the surrounding evergreen trees. Towering majestically in the background are the Grand Tetons, soaring to heights of up to 13,770 feet above sea level. The formation of the 40-mile-long Teton Range is attributed to earthquakes along a fault line. Over millions of years, seismic activity caused blocks of land on either side of the fault to shift. As a result, the western block rose to form the iconic mountains, while the eastern block descended, creating the picturesque valley known as Jackson Hole. Remarkably, the Tetons are among the youngest ranges in the Rocky Mountains and some of the most youthful mountains on Earth.
